Tillie Howard
Tillie is a bilingual trained actor and classical ballet dancer known for her shrewd sense of humor, keen ear for dialects, and “smooth as butter” soprano singing voice. She channels her many years of professional experience in demanding, high stakes environments into her work as an exacting, details-obsessed producer and assistant director.
A Disturbance in the High Desert, a dramatic western short set in 1920s rural Oregon that Tillie wrote, starred in, and is executive producing, is currently in post production. She has also appeared on the big screen in an AFI Thesis film, FCBK, directed by Kanani Koster, that premiered at the Hawai’i International Film Festival.
This year, Tillie produced and assistant directed the comedic short, My Little Hobby, that is crushing it on the festival circuit.
Recently, Tillie has had a blast filming lead roles in several short films, using her Spanish as an OCP in several bilingual industrials, and playing a singing bartender in the feature film, The Truffaut Affair.
Tillie studies improv at UCB, voice with Kat Wylde, and was a long time Conservatory member at Zak Barnett Studios.
Tillie was featured as a contestant on Season 6, Episode 6 of ABC’s “The $100,000 Pyramid,” hosted by Michael Strahan, Wayne Brady’s “Let’s Make a Deal,” and the brand new “The Flip Side” hosted by Steve Urkel himself, Jaleel White.
As leading lady Olivia Bevelstoke, Tillie was the first to bring a Julia Quinn heroine (of Shondaland & Netflix’s BRIDGERTON fame) to life on screen, and was featured in the Huffington Post’s “WATCH: Five Great Book Videos” compilation.
Tillie’s experiences living overseas - in Kenya, Spain, Canada, and Thailand - shape the questions she asks and the stories she tells. Tillie brings energy, vision, pluck, and professionalism to her work. She has also had over a decade-long career in education, both as a college admission officer and most recently as a Director of College Counseling, guiding students and families through the daunting yet meaningful process of applying to college.
